ENTRIES SUBMISSION T&C

Terms & Conditions:

  1. Open to all building projects constructed and completed in Malaysia, between 1 January 2020 - 30 June 2024 that uses BlueScope coated steel materials and solutions.

  2. The entry must come with a proof of completion (Certificate of Fitness for Occupation, or a Certification of Completion and Compliance (or any other evidence that are proof of its completion) as of 30 June 2024 to be eligible. 

  3. For the category of Lasting Beauty COLORBOND®️ steel, all building projects constructed with COLORBOND® Steel must be completed by 31 Dec 2019 to be eligible.

  4. Projects submitted by the Malaysian Architect firm(s) (Entrant) must be the one who authored, designed, or have undertaken the project, with their registered license with Lembaga Akitek Malaysia (LAM), or alternatively,

  5. if the Entrant is an international architect company, the international design partner/practice must be legally registered with their relevant regulatory Board of their respective country.

  6. All Entrants must obtain clearance/consent from their clients/building owners prior to the submission of entries.

  7. All Entrants are welcome to submit more than one entry for all categories.

  8. Entrants agree to participate and support the Award events requirements including, but not limited to, media interviews, exhibitions, presentations, award ceremonies, and others, as required by BlueScope.

  9. The Organizer reserves the right to have the last and final say in all decisions in regard to the acceptance or disqualification of any entry.

  10. The Organizer reserves the right to use and reproduce any of the submitted Entry Materials as part for marketing purposes, such as media publications, website, social media, and others, as deemed fit by the Organizer.  Any acknowledgment of the of the Entrant’s participation for the Award and the like, is solely on the discretion of BlueScope and the Entrant is not entitled to any compensation, monetary or in kind whatsoever in relation to the Award.

  11. Members, employees, associates of the organizing team (BlueScope and ACG Media), member of the jury panel, or any other persons, directly or indirectly involved in the preparation or collaboration of the Award can neither be eligible to submit nor contribute to assist an Entrant in their entry submission. Any such involvement may result in disqualification of the entry submission(s).

  12. Consent and BlueScope Privacy Policy:

    1. By participating in the Award, the Entrants accept and give consent to BlueScope for the use of his/ her names, business names, photographs, voice or video recordings without obtaining any further consent nor making any payment whatsoever for publicity, advertising, trade or promotion purposes in any media.

    2. In addition, by participating in the Award, the Entrants accept and give consent (or have procured the consent from their client and/or building owner with the following purposes: (a) facilitating the Award which he/she have chosen to participate; (b) executing, administering and facilitating any Award -specific agenda and activities; (c) handling queries or arranging for communications in connection with the Award; (d) promote BlueScope products and/or services, which BlueScope think may be of interest; and (e) any purposes which are reasonably related to any of the above.

SUBMISSION CRITERIA

Submission Criteria:

  1. There must be no indication of the identification of Entrants on any of the Entry Materials.

  2. The project information required as specified in the submission form.

  3. Mandatory competition material submission in digital format only:

    1. Project Images:

      • Minimum five (5), and up to a maximum of ten (10) images (300dpi) of the projects to be submitted in JPEG format (10MB/each), including at least two (2) photographs that showcase the location(s) where BlueScope coated steel are installed (such as roof or wall cladding areas).

    2. Project Board:

      • Up to two (2) A1-sized (in Portrait layout) project board in PDF format only, with collages of drawings, floor plan and project images and description of not more than 600 words.

      • PDF file size must not exceed 50 MB/file.

      • The project board must not contain the identity of the Entrant (architect firm).

    3. Project Description:

      • Must not exceed 600 words in MS WORD format only.

      • The information in the project description must contain the design vision, design concept, the technology adopted, the technology adopted, and any other factors related to the judging requirements - Design Excellence, Innovation, Sustainability, Community and Humanity.

    4. Additional submission material (optional, but an added advantage to communicate your design):

      • Project video and illustrations during/after project completion.

      • Site and location plans, floor plans, elevations, 3D architectural visualisation/rendering or any other details of the project.

    5. Please follow the following file naming guide for the digital material:

      • Images (JPEG): BSAA2024_Category_Photo_Project Name_1

      • Project Board (PDF format): BSAA2024_Category_Board_Project Name_1

      • Project Description (Microsoft Word): BSAA2024_Category_Design Concept Statement_Project Name. The project information required as specified in the submission form.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

My Project falls under multiple categories (a mixed development). How can I select more than one?

If your project is applicable to multiple categories, please submit a separate entry form for each category. The committee reserves the right to recategorise your entry as deemed appropriate.

How do I submit my entries and upload the required documents?

To submit your entries, sign up as a SteelPedia member and submit your project here. You can upload all mandatory competition materials to Google Drive or Dropbox and attach the sharing link (https) in the specified form field.

How will I know if my entry has been submitted successfully?

Upon completing your submission on SteelPedia.com, you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your entry.

I did not receive an email regarding my entry status. What should I do?

If you did not receive an email, please contact us at steelpedia.my@bluescope.com to check the status of your entry.
